Multi Stakeholder process in education

This project was supported by SNV (Netherlands Development Organisation) and East Gonja District Assembly. The project  sought to analyse and mobilise relevant stakeholders at fora to discuss strategies to improve upon the quality of basic education in the district. Under this project, Choice Ghana was engaged by SNV as a Local Capacity Builder to assist the District Assembly and Ghana Education Service to analyse and mobilize stakeholders in education through a multi-stakeholder platform to discuss the status and challenges of basic education in the district and strategies for improvements.

During this process, the district education endowment fund was established to assist student’s especially needy but brilliant students.  District Educational Technical Group was also established to see to the efforts of all stakeholders towards quality basic education delivery. This project also saw the establishment and launch of the district education endowment fund.
